Perched on Redmond Spur, this split-level residence has been designed around one defining element: the view.
At just under 300mยฒ, the home responds to its hillside site with a considered arrangement of floor-to-ceiling glazing across multiple levels, drawing in natural light and framing sweeping panoramas over Christchurch city and the Southern Alps beyond.
The interior layout places the living spaces where they matter most, allowing the landscape to become an ever-present backdrop to daily life. A sense of calm moves through the home naturally, a product of light, outlook, and thoughtful spatial planning.
Externally, a combination of cedar and Coloursteel cladding defines the architectural form, grounding the home within its environment while giving it a material presence that holds its own against the scale of the surrounding landscape.
